ENERST MWIIMBE - 2022 INNOVATIVE CABBAGE FARMER OF THE YEAR

Enerst Mwiimbe is an upcoming small-scale farmer who conducts his farming activities on the Copperbelt, Luanshya, Roan to be precise. His farming activities are being done on a ten-hectares farm with the crops being divided in portions of about an acre each of the entire area.

He engaged in farming from the year 2019 and later pursued an agriculture degree program at Mulungushi University. He always had a dream of working for himself and not being fully employed by someone. he produces about 2000 heads of cabbages on average.  

This cabbage farming activity has impacted in his life by way of him becoming financially stable in managing the finances from his produce.  It is through this vegetable farming activity that he has managed to acquire a hammer mill, commercial sprinklers yet to be installed, drip lines and submersible pump.
