Managing Tomato open fields is a great challenge and most farmers are losing money and time trying to work on fields which are not adding value. What must you do to achieve business gains after investing your hard earned resources.

Am sharing some valuable insights to help you manage this great business:-

1.Avoid asking questions in forums or platforms whose group foundation has nothing to do with Tomato growing or the crop you are growing. Being smart is a choice and your resolution to get things done in a right way will stem from this wise ACT.

2.Tomato Crop tends to get several diseases when there is moisture and favourable temperature range encouraging bacterial and fungal infections. Cost can be managed and maintained to a favourable target if you choose a variety which has tolerance to some of these diseases(this action saves you thousands of money and allows you to swim in areas which are not high in cost)Secondly the use of Adjuvants can help allow sufficient utilization of Crop Protection Products(CPP) therefore giving you value for your Kwacha/Shilling/Dollar/Rand.

At this moment YOU must be very observant to use available resources at the most effective way because inputs will never go down but will keep going up and up but SMART farmers will always rejoice and be in business while others will keep crying and not see the importance of this great mission.

3.When you are growing tomato never allow too many people to guide you because your goal and mission to achieve greatness in this dimension is a personal decision based on your future VISION.

Visions are born from a different angle and they need to be nurtured with FOCUS & DETERMINATION birthed from a disciplined realisation and knowing that your purpose if not well planned and executed it can perish! The choice is yours-Now that you know, your mission must be stress free.

4.Excessive water getting to your tomato plant is distractive and can lead to cracking or bumps on the lower leaves and also disease outbreak. The roots on the other hand will start suffocating disrupting mineral movement and eventually dying.Have a PREVENTATIVE CROP PROTECTION program in place and manage your soil environment so that you prevent diseases as well managing water logging.

5.The greatest Tomato farmer is COURAGEOUS and has a WILL to succeed regardless of several challenges ahead of him or her. Finally i want to end today's message with these wise words, ''You will hardly find wrong people at right places. Choose to be at the right places and you will find the right people who will inspire you to make it happen, ''Israel more AyivorIf vegetable growing is your choice for 2021 then we can help you to make it happen!
